Chewy Ginger Snaps
Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 ounces crystallized ginger, chopped coarsely
Ginger fans will love these
deliciously chewy ginger snaps. Tested and tasted, these are the best
snaps of all!
Instructions: Preheat oven
to 375°F. Combine softened butter, sugar, molasses and egg. Beat
well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to wet mixture. Mix well.
Chill for 1 hour. Form 1 inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place
on greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake 8-10 minutes. Makes
3 dozen cookies.
