I've been hearing about ginger wine and am quite intriqued.  Several customers have talked about it fondly, and it is evidently a British product.  I've tracked down a company that makes the wine, and have written to ask about a U.S. distributor.  If any of you ginger fans out there have seen ginger wine in a store, please write me with details.  Thank you!
